About Hockey HQ
Hockey HQ was created by myself, Blake Thorne, on December 20th, 2020. I designed this website to enhance my portfolio and writing skills.

About the Author
I (Blake Thorne) am the sole creator of this website. I attend Worcester State University to study Communication and concentrate on Digital Media Production. I have worked to gain experience through several responsibilities throughout my time in college. The first was interning with the Sports Information Office at Worcester State. I also host an interview show called, "The Beat" which is produced by the Center for Community Media at Worcester State University. I then started interning for CLNS Media and covered the Boston Bruins alongside some talented people. Shortly after the 2020 NHL season ended, Hockey Night in New England hired me to be their first NHL Reporter. All these roles and responsibilities have provided me with skills in public speaking, on-camera speaking, play-by-play broadcasting, interviewing, consistent article writing about a sports team, live-tweeting games, creating all sorts of video content, and working in a professional sports media environment.
