Blake grew up in Bridgewater, Massachusetts and at the start of his life, he was dependent upon the world of sports. He played various growing up and he looked up to his older brothers who played the same sports as himself and also his father, who was the coach of most of Blake's teams. The first sport Blake grew to love was hockey. He started skating at the age of four and eventually he would compete in his first competitive hockey game with the Taunton Brewins. Later down in his life, Blake played for the Boston Bandits, where he learned the game from many great coaches and trainers. After his youth hockey days, Blake then went on to make the Bridgewater-Raynham varsity hockey team as a freshman. He then captained the team his senior year. Two other huge sports in Blake's life are lacrosse and golf. Blake started playing competitive lacrosse at the age of six and the love he developed with that was parallel to his love for hockey. Blake played varsity lacrosse all four years of high school and even passed the 100 point marker. During college, he was the President of the Worcester State Men's Lacrosse club and in 2022 he led them to a championship along with receiving Offensive Player of the Year. Blake also has a passion for golf. He has been on the course since the age of three and in his youth, he competed in Junior PGA events. Blake then went on to play three years of high school golf, his senior year he decided to play football because he never had the chance. Then in his senior year at college, he joined the Worcester State Men's Golf team to get one more crack at competitive golf. Blake's deep passion for sports doesn't just rely on hockey, lacrosse, and golf; he also holds a love for football, baseball, basketball, and soccer.

School and Journalism Background:
Blake graduated from Worcester State University and attended higher education to study Communication and focus on Digital Media Production. He was an intern for the Sports Information Office at Worcester State Athletics for one and a half years. There, Blake wrote articles, created social graphics, produced videos, broadcasted sports games, and was the host of the podcast "The Lancer Report". In the past, he did an independent study where he hosted an interview show on campus called "The Beat". At the beginning of 2021, Blake got an internship with CLNS Media Network with their Boston Bruins coverage team. Here, he would write articles, live-tweet games, assist in video production, and control social accounts. In July of 2021, Blake was hired by Hockey Night in New England as their first NHL Reporter. Blake actively covered the Boston Bruins through social media and content creation. Blake's goal is to continue a career in sports journalism and reporting and he pushes towards this goal every day through active participation and hard work within his everyday responsibilities and roles.
FEATURED AREAS OF WORK
HOCKEY NIGHT IN NEW ENGLAND
Blake was hired by Joel Idelson -- the host of the Hockey Night in New England show on NBC Sports Boston. He was hired to assist in the expansion of the company into having a journalism and reporting team. Blake was brought on as an NHL Reporter and he is actively covering the Boston Bruins for the 2021-22 season. His main roles are his hockey coverage and assisting in the scriptwriting of the television show.

SPORTS INFORMATION OFFICE INTERNSHIP
Blake assisted in the production of media for Worcester State Athletics. He wrote articles, player biographies, virtual senior nights, and media contact lists. Blake also assisted in video production, planning, editing, and filming. Another role Blake held there is to host the podcast called, "The Lancer Report" and color commentate Worcester State Athletic games. He abides by the organization's mission statement, which is to create the atmosphere of a Division I College/University for athletes attending a Division III College/ University through repeated posting on social media.

CENTER FOR COMMUNITY MEDIA AT WORCESTER STATE
Blake's junior year at Worcester State, he was the host of an interview show called, 'The Beat," which was produced in his Center for Community Media course. The Center aims to assist organizations or people within the community, we do this by in-studio interviews. They help spread ideas and movements expressed by their guests. When Blake is not hosting he will typically edit interviews, write interview questions, assist in production or handle community relations. All interviews produced by the Center for Community Media are posted on our Facebook page.

CLNS MEDIA NETWORK - CLNS BOSTON BRUINS
Blake interned with CLNS Media Network with their Boston Bruins coverage team during the 2021 season. During the season he would assist in video production, write articles, live-tweet games, and ensure all Bruins coverage was completed.

CLNS BOSTON BRUINS YOUTUBE - BRUINS RINKSIDE
Blake produced videos with two other interns to keep up to date with the Bruins press coverage and CLNS's shows during 2021.
Blake downloads the press packages and converses with the other interns to decide who was editing certain interviews. After chopping the video and incorporating CLNS's graphics, Blake would upload the videos to Youtube. On Youtube, he would write titles and descriptions, along with enhancing the SEO with up to 500 characters of keywords. He uploaded almost 100 videos throughout the course of the 2021 NHL season.
